can wordpress be used for realtime caption?

    Hi WordPress folks

Before I download WordPress via Synaptic Package Manager
(I’m using linux-based OS), I would like to know if
Wordpress would be appropriate for what I want to do.
Synaptic Package Manager wants to add all kind of stuffs
(including apache libraries) and I only have 6.3 GB on
this dinosaur computer (plus I am more than half full).

I am not interested in making a blog, but in streaming
(realtime, live) caption. I.e., someone will be creating
caption (whether by voice recognition, CART, or plain
old typing) and the webpage will be scrolling live
(realtime) texts. I also want the texts to be large
(like fontsize = 32) so that people can see it.

Will WordPress do this? If so, what delay time (time
between typing and texts popping on the webpage)
should I expect? Is there any good documentation of
this subject? Also, do any of you have a website where
    texts are streamed in realtime?

Ideally, I would like the webpage to not have much
“junk” beside what is being captioned.

Bottom line: Will WordPress be a suitable program for
    streaming caption?

Thank in advanced for your feedbacks.

You need to ask at http://wordptress.org/support as it is the package from there that is installed and gives more flexibility. You can also check the Extend > Plugins there too.
