Can WordPress Deal with A Records?

  My friend’s blog is hosted on her own domain, with the name servers pointing to WordPress. She now wants to do some A Record changes so that a sub-domain points to another site. She talked to her hosting provider, but they said that they can’t make A Record changes since the site’s name servers aren’t pointed at them. Because these name servers are pointed at WordPress, I am assuming WP would be glad to make some A Record changes for me. Is that correct?

  As far as I know, wordpress does not deal with or do A records. They can using CNAME map blogs here to subdomains, but as far as I know that is all.
