Can WordPress delete my old comment?
-
I made a comment as a young person on another persons blog. I made the comment using my then Facebook account but since I no longer have the Facebook, the comment does not redirect anywhere when someone clicks their cursor on my name, but it still comes up when you google me name. Which is annoying. I no longer want to be associated with that persons blog because it is no longer relevant to me. The person who owns the page is ignoring all requests…
Thank you WordPress if you can help. I would appreciate it very much. Have a great day.The link to the comment: [redacted]
(It is the only comment).

And how rude it is to have your name used, sometimes.
(P.S. I would like to use emojis. Emojis are calming indeed.).:P
Please help me, WordPress. I will owe you greatly and I would respect your help very much!

Hi there,
We do not remove comments from sites without the site owner’s consent, and even if we did there is no way to verify you are the same person who left that comment via Facebook four years ago.
If the owner of the site does not respond to or refuse your requests to remove that comment, there is nothing else that can be done.

That is ridiculous. There are ways to prove my identity, for example with a piece of identification. The owner of the site could be a dumb nut or a criminal. Your website has no consideration for privacy or security.

@mucgrasscornfieldblufmuffutbutupyamut – you’ve received an answer from Staff and a forum volunteer has pointed you to our relevant policy on this topic. As mentioned above, nothing further can be done about the comment you left on someone else’s site if the site owner refuses to reply to you or remove your comment.
As such I’m closing this thread. Best wishes.
