Can WordPress import posts/comments from Twitter?

  Hello:

  I noticed that the “Tools > Import” feature from my admin Dashboard doesn’t include Twitter.

  Could you possibly implement a change to allow posts and comments from Twitter to be imported into WordPress?

  WordPress, despite having an Import function, is not an aggregator. It is a host for original blogging. If you want an aggregator, you want something like Friendfeed.

  @timethief. Thanks again. I didn’t realize that I could: 1. embed a URL in a post and 2. “Display an official Twitter Embedded Timeline widget” in my sidebar.

  But I should have elaborated further: I wanted a general dump of my Twitter “archives” into WordPress.com. And I thought perhaps sometime in the near/distant future, there would be a WordPress.com “import” available from the Twitter system.
