can you add "pin it" overlays to wordpress.com?

    Is there a way to have a “pin it” button added to every image you post on your blog? I have wordpress.com and the CSS upgrade, so no access to plug-ins.

    Currently I am manually coding a button for every image that I really want to be pin-able, so it would be nice not to have to do this anymore.

    Any ideas? THanks!

    On your sharing page there’s a Pinterest button that you can put on every page, post, and even attachment pages.

    Thanks. For some reason I remember that only picking the first image on the page, but now it finds everything, so that’s good.

    But I’d still love to find something that is clearly attached to each picture…I think it’s a stronger CTA and would encourage more sharing.

    Some people do not want their original images shared on bulletin boards and passed about like so much dross.

    Be aware that those who have WordPress.ORG blogs are able to opt-out of having their images pinned by Pinterest’s users by inserting code into their headers. (It works much the same way robots.txt does in keeping search engine spiders from crawling your site.)

    But those who have free hosted WordPress.com blogs are not able to post Pinterest opt out the code as we cannot access metadata. Consequently, if what you request was implemented here at WordPress.com I predict the response from those who do not wish to have their images pinned would be very STRONG and very ANGRY.
