Can you add veryplaintxt theme?
-
I want to know from the wordpress admin whether it is possible to use the theme provided by plaintxt.org for wordpress, the one called verplaintxt? Can it be included in the themes page? Can I upload somehow?

wordpress themes can only be added by the administrators of wordpress.com, so the best way to suggest they add a theme is to go to your dashboard and click the ‘Feedback’ button in the top right.

I would LOVE to see this theme added too, along with Barthemle by the same author as VeryPlainTxt.

Very nice theme. I hope wp.com add this theme to the available themes.

Barthelme has already been considered and rejected, and veryplaintxt is possibly a bit too similar to ‘white as milk’ in terms of colour and plainness, but it never hurts to ask.

Wank says “veryplaintxt is possibly a bit too similar to ‘white as milk’ “.
Some of us may be using ‘white as milk’ because we can’t use ‘veryplaintxt’ — I use ‘white as milk’ while hoping that in time we will have the option to use ‘veryplaintxt’
There may be more interest in simple, subtle themes than can be noted through requests for such themes to be added to wordpress.com

Just buy the CSS upgrade and code something similar using Sandbox. The CSS upgrade is only $15.00, which comes out to a few cents per day.
Since wordpress.com offers such a great service for free, it isn’t such a bad idea to support them by paying for an upgrade service anyway.

I emailed Scott about this a while ago. He said he’ll release his themes as Sandbox Styles when the new version of Sandbox is released.
