Can you Appeal a suspension?

Today one of my blogs was suspended. I have not received any notice from WordPress about this at all. The blog is just gone. I have written Support but no response as yet (and it’s been a while). Is there another avenue I can take to deal with this? Thanks.

My blog has been suspended

When you sign up for a blog here at wordpress.com, you are agreeing to comply with the Terms of Service (TOS). http://wordpress.com/tos/
In fact, the page has a check box next to this:
I have read and agree to the fascinating terms of service so there is no real excuse for not knowing what is and is not allowed.
Blogs are suspended if they are found to be in breach of the TOS.
We do not contact you first to ask that content be modified or removed.
You cannot have that blog name back.
You cannot have the blog content back.
We take the TOS very seriously and act on every feedback we get to check out possible breaches. We want wordpress.com to be a pleasant and safe environment for all our users.

Please also note that we are not allowed to discuss wordpress.com policy on these support forums.

I just wanted to know a procedure–I suppose that might count as “policy” but I was just needing direction.

Sorry about that.

Best bet would be to do what you’ve done and to send in an email to support at wordpress dot com and inquire about the suspension. We’re volenteers here in teh forums and have no backend access so we have no way to check. if you post the URL in question, we can probably tell you what’s occured though using the search engine caches.

TT, this isn’t a policy question. They’re asking what to do next.

edit: A quick check of your blogroll doesn’t show any blogs suspended.

The reason I posted that last sentence was because agnosticatheist posted: “Wow…. What was your blog on?” And I thought that it might lead to a suspension policy debate. Clearly only staff can deal with blog suspensions and the only appeal that can be made is to staff.

I have today found my blog have been suspended, we discussed the rather unpopular UK home information pack for households in England and wales.

Having been away the blog went some time on Monday of this week the Url was http://homemove.wordpress.com/

This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service.

I have taken the advice here of writing to support to ask what the problem was, any further advice would be appreciated

Only staff can deal with blog suspensions and the only appeal that can be made is to staff.
