Can you buy 10 credits?

I want to buy the domains upgrade, which is 10 credits. But the lowest number of credits I can purchase is 15. Why is that? Is there a way to only buy 10 credits?

i believe if you go through Options > Domain, and follow those steps it will charge you the correct amount.

Leave feedback. I think this is a common bug. When domain name hosting came out it was $15, so there weren’t any upgrades that cost less than 15.
Now there is.

A word of warning: if the Paypal purchase comes up as $15 and you can’t edit it (as happened to me when I purchased custom CSS over the new year) they’ll hang on to the extra $5 and you’ll be left with 5 useless credits. Learn from my mistake and send a feedback saying you won’t purchase it unless they charge you the correct price :)

yes, if you add 15 credits, you aren’t getting 5 back, that’s for sure.
but i bought the domain upgrade on Nov. 14th, through Options > Domains (NOT Upgrades), and that seems to take you to a seperate checkout which only charges $10, which is automatically applied to the domain transfer, which is already in progress.

This isn’t brain science. sysdmin has known this since the ever first forum post showed up here. I know that because I zipped over to the official wordpress blog and notified Matt of the problem via leaving a comment on Custom CSS Improvement and Discount. I’m surprised it hasn’t been appropriately dealt with by now.

Every product has a buy button by it now, which charges you the exact amount of the upgrade. It’s been like this for a week or two.

Nah, you can keep them :) I am treating the $5 as the cost of my lesson never to buy anything from wordpress.com ever again. It’ll save me money in the long run.

I sense that something wonderful is coming our way that we will all want to upgrade to and pay for and we will be needing those credits.

Andy has implied the statistics program will be fully functional in April. That will probably be considered by many bloggers who are confused about what Christmas is truly about to feel “Christmasey”. I assume it will come with the territory of having a free blog :) but maybe not. :( Maybe wp will offer refferal information as a paid upgrade. :0 Is that what you are referring to? If so I blogged on what Andy said last week here :P -
Yeah, it’d be useful to say something like “When your nameservers are set correctly you will be given the option to purchase credits”.. Here I am tring to work out how to buy 10 credits when all I have to do is wait. Gah!
