Can you buy a domain without a blog?

  I would like to set up a website without a blog on wordpress, is this possible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Well, yes you could register a domain through wordpress and point it somewhere else. Why would you want to, it would be easier just to use an ordinary domain registrar?

  Your blog is a web site by the way – you can set up a blog so it looks like a plain web site if you want – is that what you want?
