Can you change the color of the menu bar?

  Is it possible to change the color of the menu bar? I’m finding the black to be a little too hard for my palette.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I just had a look at the theme you are using.
  You can change the color of the menu bar with some CSS if you are on a Business or Premium WordPress plan.

  You can find all the instructions about entering custom CSS code on this page:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/

  Once you find your way through the customizer, you can use this code :

  #site-navigation {background:#000000;}

  (#000000 is the hexadecimal code for black, you can use this website to find the hexadecimal code of the color you want https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp and replace it in the code line)

  brianajoy11 – looks like you found the colour palettes for Sela – are you all set?

  floflo56 – when folks don’t have custom CSS, they can look in the Colors & Backgrounds Customizer panel. Many themes include free colour palettes there. Thanks for helping out!

  Thanks @kathrynwp for taking a look at this!

  My mistake – with this theme (Sela) it does look like you can change the colors for the menu in the color palette selector of the customizer.

  When I was testing this out I was trying with Hemingway
  Rewritten, which was the theme active at the time, and I was not able to make these changes without CSS.

  @Brianajoy11, Happy to see you’ve found a theme you like that offers these customizations 🙂

  No worries! FYI the theme Briana’s using is actually Dara – it is quite similar to Sela, I think of them as sisters. :) Both offer free custom colour palettes.

  I can only see an option to change the background color not the menu bar. Am I missing something?

  As noted by the commenter above, I also don’t see a way to change Sela’s menu bar color (which is also the link and button color). Great theme but I do not want pink (not an ideal color for my needs). I only see a way to change the background color/image.

  oakcreekowners & columbiavalleyconcierge – go into the Customizer‘s Colors & Backgrounds panel and click “Palettes” and you’ll see all the colour schemes available.
