Can you clarify privacy of my posts and page? Default settings for posts?

  If my page (blog) is set to private, are the posts going to be seen by anyone? If the posts are still visible anywhere by anyone, is there a way to set the default to post in private only?

  If your entire blog is private then only you can see the posts, or if you invite anyone to your blog, they can see them. If you set your blog to private only AFTER publishing posts, then the posts that are indexed can still be seen in cached versions, and you would have to wait for search engines to clear their cache. You can use the ‘private’ setting for individual posts (in ‘visibility’ when you edit a post), but for an entire blog of ‘private’ posts you may aswell have the whole blog as private. Your blog is not private though.
