Can you create your own forms using HTML?
-
I am trying to create a form that is more complex than the contact form set up allowed by wordpress. But when I input my own code, all of the text boxes and buttons disappear. Can I fix this? And if so, how?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not really as we have code restrictions
https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tags
but you can use this and customize https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ -
Can I fix this?
Nope.
You can use
a) the WordPress.com contact form

b) Wufoo:

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
