Can you embed a WORDPRESS map?

There is much discussion about embedding Google and Bing maps but I actually geotag each post with the map feature within WordPress and wondered what is the point if you can’t actually then post this map anywhere useful?
What I want to achieve is to feature a map on my front page with all the posts showing up on where Ive geotagged each post!
Am I asking for something that hasn’t been created yet or is it easy to achieve? If this isn’t possible why is the geo-tag feature available?

As far as I know the only maps we can embed are the old style Google maps http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/

I really do love WordPress and have geo-tagged all my posts ever since beginning with it.
I just thought it would be nice to use that information and be able to display all my posts within a map. People can then find another way to find a post relevant to them within my blog.
I know I could geotag them all again in Google maps and link that way but it seems a bit long winded if WordPress already has that metadata within in.
