Can you enable itpc:// for static pages?

    Hello,

I would like to post a one-click link for my podcast directly to itunes like this:
    itpc://http://feeds.feedburner.com/B0kaRadio

This works in posts, but on static pages the [itpc://] part get removed automatically.

This is a major problem for us, and I see that others have been frustrated about it before, Any plans to accomodate this?

    Greetings,
    b0ka

After checking in a post as well, I can confirm it doesn’t work there either, even though according to the wordpress codex it should. Ref: http://codex.wordpress.org/Podcasting

To make life easier for iTunes users, consider also linking to your podcast feed with the itpc:// protocol rather than http, e.g.:

    itpc://domain.org/path/?feed=atom

iTunes users will then be able to subscribe to your feed with a single click.

  • No, there are no plans for this directly, but from within iTunes you can email a link to the Podcast to yourself and that will give you a normal http:// link which will still open iTunes on most computers.
