Can you have a secret page – accessed only by a direct link or QR code

    Hi there,

So basically a page that does not at first glance appear on your site, i.e, cannot be navigated to but can be accessed if someone has a QR code or short code for example.

I can see this being very useful when targeting certain niche target markets and have a specific message for them.

I know you can password a page but i want hidden as opposed to password protected.

    Thanks in advance

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That would be useful on a WordPress.ORG install but as we are not allowed to have blogger initiated advertising, or paid or sponsored content, and as we are not allowed to flog (sell) any merchandize that we do not personally create on free hosted WordPress.com blogs (no reselling), and as internet marketing blogs (no affiliate marketing) are not allowed, and as our blogs cannot be equipped for Ecommerce transactions I think you sound lost.

    Have you read this comparison?

Are you clear on what gets blogs suspended here?

Yes, easily. Just create a custom menu and don’t put the link there.

Thank you both for your very diverse answers, I know which ones makes me happier.

I have no fear of my blog being suspended, I do not believe it meets the criteria at all. I use my blog to promote and educate, I use my static pages to inform and explain, and yes like most of these blogs it’s all about my business, which I’m pretty sure is ok.

Hi raincoaster – I have looked at how to create a custom menu, and can see how to add pages. But the pages need to be created either as a parent or under a parent before you can add them to the custom menu.

I read a further explanation about creating a custom link, then delete the link, it was you replying to someone else, but I still see the same problem as above. When you create a page and then drag it under the new custom link it still shows on your main site if you publish it, as you have to publish it somewhere before you can drag it into your custom menu

    Help

Ok – I have just realised that I needed to have the main ” under the header” menu activated as the main custom menu. Now I have don that any pages I publish will not actually appear in the parent or child sections – they are effectively orphans, which is what I wanted. Now they are not really navigable unless you know where to look, so I can use them for specific out-reaches.

Thank you for putting me on the right path.
