Can you help me customize image appearance on my home page?
-
My images appear properly in my posts, but on my home page, at least one, I cannot center and another is partially covered by a black bar – that no matter what, I cannot remove it. Please help. I am using the Suburbia theme.

Hi there,
I took a look at your page and this is what I’m seeing:
Are you referring to the black bar across the top? This is part of the theme and is part of the design. Or is it something else? Also, let me know which image you’re having a problem with!

No. It’s on the post titled, just right. There’s a black bar covering only the top of the picture. It was initially a gif, I replaced it with a jpeg and the same thing is happening…

And there is an image for ‘can she talk?’ that has seemingly disappeared – but that is the one that is way off centered. When I posted it initially, the full picture showed – just a smaller version – then suddenly, it became larger – cutting off the top and bottom of the picture. And now it’s just gone…

Hi there,
The “Can she talk” one doesn’t actually have any image set as a featured image, so you might want to try setting one.
As for the other one, I can see how it’s cut off half way. There are some instances where images can behave oddly. We’ve got a section in our help section which might help out:

I will refer to the troubleshooting tips – but in the one where you say it has no featured image – that isn’t correct. When I go to screen options, Featured Image is selected – this is something that is always checked for all of my images (I use one per post). And that doesn’t explain it being there, then not. I will try taking it down and putting it back up…
