Can you help me fix my out-of-alignment dashboard display?
-
My dashboard is out of alignment. The column of headings on the left side of the screen overlaps the editor page.
I’m also having issues watching a Youtube video on our blog site. I get a black screen with audio only.
I’m using a new HP with Windows 8 and IE 10. Everything else works/appears fine on other sites except for these two issues with WordPress. I know it’s my machine, because everything is fine on the other computer, but I can’t figure out how to fix it. Help??!?!?

I could be wrong but I think your screen resolution size that needs to be adjusted in order to have the 2 column display.

The Dashboard is going to remain responsive based on the size of the browser window, but the minimum width has been dropped to 850px, which is basically the point at which the editor breaks the layout in 2-column view anyway. So, as long as your browser window is at least 850px wide, you’ll still see both columns. If you decrease the width below 850px, the layout will switch to single column to better accommodate the editor.

The screen resolution wasn’t the problem, so I hope the screen shot that I sent will help you figure out what my issue is.
Thanks,

Hi again,
I’m sorry I did not guess correctly. This is just to let you know that there are 38 million of us and Support Staff do have a backlog. Posting again and bumping a thread is not in your best interest. Staff work their way through threads tagged by dealing with those that have the earliest date and timestamps first, then moving forward to deal with those that have the most recent date and time stamps. Please be patient while waiting for Staff to assist the bloggers who posted before you did. -
Hi kathyntx, thanks for providing that screenshot. It looks like you have Internet Explorer’s compatibility mode turned on, which can cause this layout issue. You can follow the instructions on this page to disable compatibility mode:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view
Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this!

Thank you very much for the info on compatibility – that did the trick!
My apologies for ‘bumping’ – that was not my intent, since I didn’t even know that’s how it worked. I was attempting to provide more information.
Thanks again for your help – you guys are awesome!
Kathy
