  I have a blog here on wordpress and I am looking to upgrade it to an independent website hosted here. I was looking at the information listed here and I am still confused. I was looking for some help on how specifically this process works, as I am ignorant on this task.

  Since a blog IS a website, I’m unclear what you actually need. Why don’t you explain to us specifically what you need and we can tell you how to achieve this.
