Can you help me with these problems related to posting by e-mail?
-
Hello again,
Things were going smoothly, so I decided to experiment with posting by email. My first couple of attempts at incorporating my “secret email address” along with members of a group I regularly send to as bcc worked fine, but since then, some problems have cropped up. I hope you can help me with them.1) Part of overly wide or overly (?) long posts not visible in the posts sent to subscribers–in the former case, the whole post is visible on the blog, but in the latter, the message is cut off with no elipses or anything.
2) twice my category has been ignored, and I had to change it manually from inside the blog.
3) Except for my first two tries, the posts I sent to my “secret address” were ignored when this address was the first or last of the group, and only seemed to be recognized when I re-sent the message just to this one address.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Maxine

Hi Maxine! I’m sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll be happy to help.
1. What are the URLs of the posts where the longer post isn’t visible in the email?
If you’re subscribed to your own blog by email, can you take a screenshot that shows where the post is cut off and upload it into your Media Library so we can take a look?
2. What are the URLs of the posts where the category was ignored?
Can you make sure that the categories already exist in Posts -> Categories before sending the email? That would explain why those wouldn’t be set when published.
3. Are you entering your Post by Email address in the To, CC, or BCC field, along with other email recipients?
I see that you’ve emailed five posts as of now, and I’m able to see them on your blog.
What are the title(s) of the post(s) that weren’t published?
Thanks!
