Can you help us find the right theme?

  We are a retail store wanting to start a site that has a intro page that slides photos and then tabs for Designers, Lookbook, About Us, Blog & Employee Intro, etc. We want it to be informative but easy to manage & visually appealing. I am just struggling with finding a theme that works. Do you have suggestions? I thought there were more themes than 242 options. Can you use wordpress.org themes on wordpress.com? Are there sites that work very easily with wordpress.com that have themes? I appreciate your help.

  Hi there,

  You cannot use WordPress.org themes with WordPress.com. You are limited to the almost 250 themes which are in our library, though there are more being added every week (almost almost every day).

  As for what you’re looking for, most users find that the feature filter is their best bet. If you log in to your account’s dashboard and then go to Appearance >> Themes and on the right hand side click the link for Feature Filter, they can search based on a variety of features which they can check off depending on their needs (including things like an image slider, etc).
