Can you help with 3 issues I am experiencing?
-
Hi there. I have a second WordPress blog — http://weinstein365.wordpress.com I am having 3 problems with it at the moment. #1: Publishing dates are wrong and I can’t seem to fix them. Posted my first blog yesterday, but the date shows as August 8, instead of August 7. Today’s post also shows as August 8. #2: On yesterday’s post I was able to use “continue reading”. It won’t work today. #3: I publish automatically on social media. The ‘snippet’ on LinkedIn is messed up — the words have numbers between them. Here’s a link — http://www.linkedin.com/home Thanks. 1. Please make sure that you have the correct timezone set at Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard.
2. It seems to be working properly. Please try clearing your browser’s cache: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
3. That is unfortunately an issue on LinkedIn’s end. They are not properly processing quotes and apostrophes.

Unfortunately this has not helped. I changed the timezone to Toronto. I cleared my browser’s cache and cookies. Yesterday’s post still says August 8 instead of August 7. And I still cannot use the “read more” function. And now there is nothing showing for today’s blog. There is no preview — just “read more” and only when I click on that can I see the blog. Sorry, but there is a problem and while I acknowledge that I am not the most tech-savvy person on WordPress I think the problem might be at your end. I don’t care, as long as it can be corrected.

At the second post on http://weinstein365.wordpress.com/ I see a “Continue reading” link at the very end, which takes me to http://weinstein365.wordpress.com/2012/08/08/day-1-fifty-shades/#more-21 so it seems to be working properly.
Are you seeing something different?
The publish date on the second post was established as August 8 at 1:20am, possibly due to the incorrect timezone. If you edit the post, you can adjust the date via the Publish box to the right.
As for today’s post, you have added the Read More link to the top. If you edit the post, just delete that and place it where you’d like.

Thanks for getting back to me. As I mentioned in myvfirst email I was able to use “more” with my first post (Fifty Shades). So on that one I see what you see.
As for the date, Fifty Shades is my first post — today’s post is my second. I tried to go into edit and fix the date on the first post but it didn’t work. Sorry to make such a big deal over something that seems insignificant, but the ‘idea’ behind this new blog is that I will post something new every day for 365 days. So for the days/dates to be wrong is kind of significant.
On today’s post I didn’t put “more” at the top of the page. I tried it in 2 other spots, neither of which worked. And the last time I tried to back into edit and fix it I also noticed it at the top of the page. And I tried several times to get rid of it and it is not working. I have tried to highlight it and delete. I also tried to highlight it and click on the icon. Neither worked. Is there something else I should be doing?
Sorry to be a pain. I use my blogs for business so it’s important to me. Appreciate your patience and help.

Where do you want the More to be placed on the first post?
Which date and time do you want the second post to be?
-
O
OMG, so not my intention to get you to do this for me. Apologies. So …
1). Peachy Keen — today’s post. Please go to paragraph 6. Sentence begins “I do have one exception …”. Place the ‘more’ after the word ‘but’.
2. Fifty Shades — yesterday’s post. Please just change the “posted date” to August 7, 2012.
Thank you so much! Have a great evening.

Thank you so much! And again, sorry to be such a drag. But if it’s any consolation I love WordPress and recommend it to all my clients and every blogger I know.
