Can you help with adding users?

Hi There,
We are setting up an internal blog or our organization. We sent out a few invites to people who didn’t already have accounts. When those people try to sign up from the invitation email, it says that their email is already in use. When they request a new password, it tells them that there is no record of an account with that same email.I’m not sure what happened here. Please help. If possible, would you be able to delete these emails from the system so we can start over?
