Hi, My name is Albert Murph. I am a college student working on a class project. How do I get Three columns on a page? Also, how can I integrate mail chimp new letter style on my front page? Help is appreciated.

Do your really mean that or do your mean you want a blog theme that has three columns?

There are code restrictions here at WordPress.com http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ Unless mailchimp has a plain HTML option for their code (no form code, iframe or javascript) then you are not going to be able to use it here at wordpress.com. It could be that you can get some HTML link code from them that will allow people who click on the link to be transported to a signup form at mailchimp. I suggest you ask them.

You made the front page of the blog into a page that demands visitor details in a comment and assumes they want to sign up to receive a weekly newsletter.
Hello! Why would anyone who has yet to read a single post or page in your blog be eager to give you their email address and subscribe to your newsletter?
I suggest you create a static page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ with a contact form on it http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
I also suggest you go here > Settings > reading and select to have your posts appear on the front page of the blog.
My final suggestion for now id slow way down. Use the step by step tutorial provided by Staff and linked to on the bottom of your Admin page at http://learn.wordpress.com
