Can you help with formatting for "Visual"?

I’m having trouble formatting the Visual theme. How do I set the theme to only show summaries of each post on the home page? I already tried clicking the “show summaries” button under appearance as well as several other options but nothing is working. I look at the demo picture of Visual in the theme store and it is shown with summaries only. Please help :/.

these aren’t summaries, they are just short posts. Check the demo:

Visual normally displays full posts, and the only thing you can do to change that is use the more tag to truncate them.

Thanks justpi! I did that just now and it worked. It’s not exactly what I had hoped for but it’s good enough for the free version of stuff. I appreciate it :)
