Can you import the media files from a dormant blog to another?
-
I want to move media/image files from an inactive blog to my main domain blog. I hold two blogs on my domain. (My side of the street) is my main blog. And (The life and times of Jerome) is closed, but still houses a huge media file collection. I have already imported the blog over to “My Side,” sans my media/image files.
I’ve never seen that availability to migrate media/image files from one blog to another. Because Jerome is set to expire this fall and my space upgrade will as well in a few months. i once hoped that I could move my jerome image files over to My Side.

I would like to move my img/media files from my “life and times of Jerome” over to “My side of the street” so I can close down the dormant blog and not pay for future upgrades and domain names to keep the image files active. Both blogs fall under my domain.

Moving from: http://www.thelifeandtimesofjerome.com
to: http://www.jeremiahssideofthestreet.com
under the one domain: http://www.jeremiahaandrews.com

I can’t see anything that would have prevented images from being imported, but I also don’t see any history of any content being imported to http://jeremiahaandrews.com/
Perhaps I’m misunderstanding. Did you do the import yet?

I did the import a long time ago when I opened My Side of the Street Via the importer feature on the dashboard, but when I did the import the images did not transfer across. All the posts are accounted for on (My Side…)
I am not sure why it wouldn’t show up as not imported ???

Oh, since the import happened quite a while ago, we can’t really do much. The only options at this point would be for you to delete all imported posts and try the import again (you’ll lose any comments left on the new blog), or just re-upload the images.
