Can you link a ‘Post’ from the home page to a ‘Page’?
-
Hi All,
I’m pretty new to WordPress. I downloaded a theme (Unite) from themeforest.com and started customizing it. My website is: http://www.origamimediagroup.com. The site is still under construction :)
If you scroll down on the home page to the “What do we do” section, you’ll see that I have added 5 posts and made them sticky so they stay on the home page. I wanted to then link these 5 posts to my 5 corresponding pages that are under the main menu bar on the top right of the home page (under Services). Is this possible? I edited the “permalinks” for the posts but it looks like you can only make it custom for all posts and not individually.
If I can’t link to the pages, maybe there is a way to customize this “featured content” section on the homepage where the posts are and just make them an image and link to each corresponding page.
Please let me know whenever you have a second. Thanks so much!

Nice looking site! Don’t know why the supportbot didn’t recognize your link.
You might have to wait for somebody clever to answer your question on making an entire post link to a separate page, but surely you can make each post’s images and links point to wherever you want simply by editing the html? I don’t see how the theme you chose nor your having made the posts sticky would prevent that.

Oops, foot in mouth. Disregard what I said about linking the images. Sorry, unable to delete that post. Nevertheless, the link you put in the text of your post can still point to wherever you want, regardless of your theme or your posts’s degree of stickiness.

Thanks edwinridout. Yeah I’m still trying to make it so when someone clicks on the posts under the “What do we do” section, it takes them to the corresponding ‘page’. I don’t want to have 2 separate areas where the same information lives so I figure it’s easiest to just have it under the ‘pages’.
Any ideas?
