can you make a post a link?
-
I know how to create a post – but can you just post a link, instead of posting the title, which has the link in the text body below it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking for the direct link to your posts.
If so, the way to find those is to click on the title of the post you want and then copy the “permalink” to the post from your address bar.
For example, the link to your most recent post is:
Criterion Confirms Eraserhead Issue, Announces Disc Replacement Program
If I’ve misunderstood your question, I apologize. Could you ask a different way?
-
I tried that and the link did not transfer / did not work when copied, pasted into the title.
Criterion Confirms Eraserhead Issue, Announces Disc Replacement Program
I would like the title to be the link. Instead of having a title, then the link in the body.
-
The link in the title is present on the home page – not there when the Post is displayed – that is normal and based on the theme – some do some don’t
are you really trying to do a sneak link in the title off site to another site?
bad news if you do that – nobody will ever read your Post – can be done – but I don’t recommend it since your Post will never be seen – it’s an old spammer trick used primarily to send people to their catalog site without people knowing what is happening

auxclass,
open page
Criterion Confirms Eraserhead Issue, Announces Disc Replacement Program
title of page is Criterion Confirms Eraserhead Issue, Announces Disc Replacement Program
first post in body of page is Criterion Confirms Eraserhead Issue, Announces Disc Replacement Program (hot link to article)
i am trying to make the title of the page the link.

I do understand what you are saying now, but what you are requesting isn’t possible. I understand that’s how sites like Facebook work (to an extent) but the purpose of a social network like Facebook and your own website are different.
The way you have set up your article now is as close as you can get to using your blog as a way to immediately direct people other places.

Actually, I was wrong. It looks like you can do it, you just have to code the HTML by hand. So something like
Your Title here does work.
That having been said it’s not a good idea for all the reasons auxclass points out and it might be a violation of the terms of service:

Cloaking refers to the deceptive linking practice of presenting different content or URLs to human users and search engines. Cloaking is considered a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines because it provides our users with different results than they expected.

As auxclass also warned you it’s against every Terms of Service that we are aware of here and in social networks. -
