Can you make the blogging function easier to use?
-
Can you make the blog functions a bit easier to navigate? The interface with the Facebooks and Twitters of this world is clunky and quite convoluted compared to say between Facebook and Twitter or Twitter and the Google blogging. Editing the blogs and getting exactly the results one wants at first instance takes being a minor techie with knowledge of all sorts of geeky words and what they mean. Simple is always good and might make blogging on wordpress more widely subscribed.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For the sake of comparison: I’m curious. What are the “geeky words” that you find on WordPress.com, but not on Blogger?
Could you give a clear example of what is easy on Blogger, not on WordPress.com?
Without that information, it looks like you criticize (which is fair), but don’t provide solutions.

One more thing: starting to use a new blogging platform, social network, etc. always takes a bit of learning. Have you heard of the Learn WordPress.com guide? http://learn.wordpress.com/

Faceplant and NotMyspace …. don’t tempt me … please don’t tempt me … LOL :D I’m forcing myself to get out of this thread now.

No timethief, you don’t understand. I was just giving raincoaster a riposte to the age-long comment ‘we don’t need more customers’ that successful businesses make just before someone comes along with a cheaper or more accessible model. He didn’t understand the innuendo as well. First there was Myspace and then Facebook did something to it. Or first there was Nokia and the rest is history. So raincoaster, 36 million bloggers you said? What about 1 billion, smartie?

Honey, it’s no skin off my nose if you flee WordPress, looking for something less challenging. You, clearly, didn’t understand the insult implied in my recommendation to use Tumblr. I teach it to institutionalized people, because they find other blogging platforms too difficult.
