Can you PLEASE help me revert to the previous version of Post?

Re: my http://joecodeswell.wordpress.com blog. I just spent 3 hours crafting a beautiful post with markdown. All of a sudden the last half of it disappeared, THE REAL DISAPPOINTMENT is that i can’t find a way to revert to my previous version, which i published privately. I have saved the previous version in a Word doc which i copied and pasted from the un-refreshed view of the post. Revisions don’t show up in the Publish Module or Screen Options.

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

I recommend:
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

Now it’s all back & the Revisions show up in the Publish Module.
WOW! I made no changes. I wonder if it’s going to happen again. -

Thanks for BOTH replies. I’ll be sure to access the first in case this ever happens again. Also I am, hopefully going to remember to cut and paste my markdown to a text file, rather than relying on the WordPress.com backup scheme.
