Can you post a blog to your archive instead of it showing up 'new'?

  I have a blog that was written about an event that occurred last fall, but it sat there as a draft without being published.

  It’s a good blog, though, and I would like readers to be able to find it when they do a search or when they look through my blog’s archives.

  However, I do not want it to show up with the ‘new’ posts or high in the display, because after all it is out-of-date.

  Is there any way to post the blog but have it immediately go into the archives instead of going to the top of the new posts?
