i found this on a site. Looks like the owner of the site posted someone’s email address and IP address:

Sorry where it says removed for security, I removed it from this post, the real email address and the IP address are actually on the site…..

What, exactly, is the question? If someone gives you their IP and email, YOU are not legally required to protect that information. WordPress.com is. They are the ones who give the guarantee of privacy, not the individual blogger.

Hey Raincoaster the problem is the owner of the site, took the ip and email address from a poster who posted on her site and put it in a response on her site.
Simple:
poster posted on site
owner posted the email address and IP on site
