It might help if you can see what im talking about, so here’s my blog.
http://walkingdowntheline.wordpress.com/Is there a way to make your tagline spread out more horizontally rather than so vertically? Its taking up way too much vertical space.

Are you aware of what a tagline is? A tagline is a brief branding message containing keywords relevant to your blog. if it exceeds 60 -67 characters in length it’s not likely to appear in the SERPS. What I see in that block of text is not a tagline. IMO that block of text would be best placed on a static “Welcome” page in your blog.

However, to answer your question the only way to place that block of text so it reads horizontally would be to edit the template of the Twenty Ten theme and we cannot edit themes or templates on wordpress.com blogs. We can purcahse CSS upgrades but that upgrade does not allow us to change functionality.

This could be adjusted through the CSS upgrade, but as Timethief says, the tagline should really be a short concise description of what your site is about. What you have in the tagline should really be in a text widget at the top of your sidebar, or as Timethief suggests, on a separate “welcome” page, not as a tagline.
