Can you see a 404 error on my blog?
-
A reader sent me an email to tell me that my header shows up on my book blog, but where my blog post should be, there is a 404 error message. I’ve checked my blog from every computer in our house: on both Safari and Firefox from two iMacs and a MacBookPro, on Internet Explorer from a PC laptop–and everything looks fine.
What do you see? And if there is a 404 error, what do I do about it when I can’t see it? Or is it her computer that’s goofy?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Looks fine to me too. Can you get her to tell you exactly what url she had? It might have an error in it somewhere.

I thought that at first, but she said she could see the girl/frog header, just not the blog post below it. That’s what seemed strange to me.

If she has a url which has the main domain correct but, for example, an error in the name of a post, then she would see a 404 error.
So: http://XXX.wordpress.com/wrongpostname would still take her to http://XXX.wordpress.com but then there would be no post coming up.

Hmmm…thanks. I’ll have to ask her about that. =)
I guess I’ll just close the thread. If you see it’s fine and I see it’s fine, it must be fine. I learned that deductive logic in a class in college. ;-) Maybe I should ask for my money back… LOL
