Can you set up a portfolio site with the 'Confit' theme without a blog?

    I’m formatting a portfolio site and don’t need a blog. How can I set up my ‘Confit’ theme to eliminate a blog?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there, I’m happy to help.

    The way WordPress is set up, you do need a page where your blog-posts would go if you had them, but once you set it up you can hide them. Here are the steps.

    1) Set up static home page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/. Note this explanation assumes you want your blog posts to show up, but we are going to hide the page in the follow-up steps so don’t worry about it.

    2) Create a custom menu. By following the instructions in the following link you can decide which pages appear where in your menu. If you leave your “blog” page off the menu, there will be no way for your site visitors to find it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
