can you showcase image-heavy sites with .com without showing the date?

Simple Q – It seems that with .com, you can only publish posts where the date is part of the URL of that post? And there is no way of reordering images eg. by anything other than date, or putting them into galleries/folders? need to build a website that allows flexiblity eg plug ins; poss a shop; ability to reorder photos already uploaded and not show a date on the URL, domain without ‘wordpress’ in the title or shown anywhere on the page.

It sounds like a theme built around the portfolio post type may work for your needs, as they don’t usually display a date like regular posts do.

It’s not possible to re-arrange images within the WordPress media library, or remove the date from an image file path, if I’ve understood your question correctly.
