Can you transfer a website from one wordpress account to another?

  I setup the above wordpress account for a friend so for ease of use I made it in my own personal account. Can I now setup a wordpress account for my friend and transfer it to the new account or do I have to build it again from scratch in his account?

  Here’s how you can transfer a site from your WordPress.com account to another WordPress.com account. https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Once transferred, you won’t have access to the site unless the new site owner adds you back.

  If you foresee that you’ll be doing this from time to time, have your friend register the site and invite you as an Admin so you can work on it. That way any upgrades are purchased from their account. https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/
