I want to move to wordpress.org so I can monetize my blog, but I dont want to have to completely remake the site.

No. The themes we have here are not exportable. They were originally coded to run on wordpress.org software and then were adapted and ported to run on wordpress.com software. We cannot export them. You can however, find the updated wordpress.org versions of most of the themes we have here at wordpress.com on the web. You use Cutline. See here > http://cutline.tubetorial.com/

That’s exactly what you will be doing it you do move to wordpress.org self hosting. You will hire a web hosts and download free software from wordpress.org. Then you will uplaof the software into the site, uplaod a theme and plugins, and import the files you exported out of your wordpress.com blog.
