Canape is not mobile friendly?

I was informed that Canape is responsive and mobile-friendly. However, when I access the mobile version of my site it shows up as the generic blue WordPress mobile site. Why is that?

By default when you browse a WordPress.com site, it’ll be a simplified and standardized version to optimize the browsing speed for mobile devices, at the same time saving the data and broadband usage.
