Canard Theme – Bold font not appear on the home posts

  Hi, the Bold text not appear on the posts in the home page. If u open the post it all ok, but in the home, all posts with the bold text, are without formatting (normal).

  Do you know how can i do to fix it?

  Hello @gerardopandolficom,

  Try using adding an excerpt with formatting in the Excerpt module on the Post Edit screen instead of letting the excerpt be created automatically. Auto excerpts strip out formatting.

  Hi, i don’t have the Excerpt Module on the Post Edit. But i have try another theme and all working fine, it only this “Canard” with this issue in the home page post.
  But i think it a theme issue and not the post issue because if i change theme working fine and it possible see the Bold Text in the posts in the home page.

  You may need to turn on Excerpts under Screen Options if it is not visible on your Post Edit screen. It’s probably hidden.

  HTML is not rendered in post excerpts, so formatting such as bold and italics won’t be displayed on blog excerpts. That’s a WordPress-wide phenomenon, so it’s the same in all themes.

  daschultemn – gerardopandolficom is using the More tag to generate excerpts in some posts, and the auto-generated excerpt in other posts. I think the effect will be the same with manual excerpts too.

  Actually I just tested and I’m wrong – bold formatting is parsed if you use a manual excerpt in Canard. You will need to add manual HTML formatting to your excerpt, like this:

  <strong>Here is some bold text.</strong> Here is some regular text.

  HI, i dont know what happen, but my theme Canard lose the layout of website.

  Prefer lose the bold text in the home page than blog layout. Before i had the little image on left, and now it different.

  before was need the Featured Image and now no… if u see the posts “Dove si naviga di più in Italia e nel Mondo” and “Attacchi Hacker nel Mondo: Mappa in Tempo Reale” in the home page, the layout farmat it right for these 2, but for other it different, and i need to have how these 2 (old style).

  im sure not have touch anithing.

  We tweaked a change that had been made to Canard and reset your featured images on the latest posts. You will need to add a featured image going forward if you would like an image displayed on the homepage.
