Like the Live Carnard Demo Website, I would love for my featured posts on the home page to have its title AND category shown. However, I only know how to ensure that the title of my blog is shown on my featured posts. I can’t get my category to be listed as well. How do I enable my category and title of my blog be featured on the image of my featured posts. In addition, on the live demo Carnard website, when you press on a blog, you are redirected to the blog where the blogs title shows up as well as the category on the blog image. I am unsure how to make my category show up on the image above my title. How do I do so?

Hi there!
Carnard theme displays featured post according to tag specified in featured content in theme setup and will show posts that have specified tag.
If you want to show category, then you will have to assign a category/categories along with the tag to each post. By default, there is only Uncategorized. To know more about categories, refer to following document:

Thank you for those links! I have already created my featured tag to ensure that my featured content will be shown on my home page. However, what I am interested in is displaying the category my featured posts are in. For example, if I have a blog post named “my blog” in the category “fun”. I would love for this featured blog post on my front page to have its title “my blog” AND the category “fun” to be on the featured image that is visible on my homepage. So far, only the titles of my featured blogs are physically visible on my featured posts.
