Canard-theme, image on the home page! Please help!

    Hello,

I use the Canard-theme for my blog. In the demo, this theme is supposed to display 5 different images on the home page.

I got these images on my home page. However, they display in a list order and all images have different dimensions. How could I fix that, in order to display these images as a grid, not as a list. The other problem that I have, is their is text displayed above the picture on the home page, how I could fix this as well?

Would be really nice if someone could tell me what to do, my new (or chosen) blog entries get displayed as an image as shown in the demo.

    Thank you!

  • Hi there – did you get this sorted out? I see your featured posts in a grid at the top of your page. Just let me know if you need further help with it.

    Thank you for reply.
I have two more questions. Could I freeze this grid even so I am going to post new topics? Also, I want to publish a small text about myself on the right corner and to freeze it, is it possible or not? Thank you a lot!

  • Could I freeze this grid even so I am going to post new topics?

Yes, the same Featured Content posts will remain in the grid unless you add the tag to other posts, or remove the tag from any of these.

I noticed you added quote marks to your featured tag. Normally you wouldn’t do that. Your featured tag should be just a word like featured (without any quotes or other special characters) in both the Customizer and on your featured posts.

Also, I want to publish a small text about myself on the right corner and to freeze it, is it possible or not?

Not totally sure what you mean by “freeze” but you could definitely use a text widget to add a paragraph about yourself and add it to the Sidebar widget area.

Let me know how it goes!
