Canard Theme layout help!

I’m using the Canard theme and am trying to set up my blog site home page to look exactly like the demo. It does not :( Any help much appreciated!!

Each WordPress.com theme has a corresponding instructional page and site demo.

For your site, there are 2 steps that are missing.
You’ll need to assign which 5 posts you want to appear at the top of the site in the featured content section. This is something that can be frequently changed, to make sure your best content is displayed prominently.
To do this, we need to assign a specific tag to this section. If you go to My Sites > Customize > Featured Content you will see that I used the generic tag ‘featured’ for this purpose.
Step 1, is to tag any post that you want to display in the featured content section with the ‘featured’ tag.
From the post editor you’ll see Tags & Categories on the left, that is where you’ll add this tag.
Step 2, is that the post format for these featured content posts needs to be changed from standard to image. To do this, you’ll want to click My Sites > Blog Post > Edit > Post Format (from the left).

Hi Liz – I finally found time to implement your instructions since the holidays are winding down — THANK YOU again.. All worked perfectly!!… Now just need to teeter with menu sections, etc…then write real posts and launch :))
