Canard theme. Question on featured image
-
Hi,
I used Canard theme and have set up featured images on my homepage. I have two questions.
– How can I choose the order? Which post get to be on the left side or the right up space?
– What is the best format size of a picture set in the featured area? I explained.
I have now 5 posts linked to 5 featured images. I have added the picture on my dashboard, added the tag “feature” both on my dashboard and my customize. When I click save, publish and view site, the featured picture appears cropped. What should I do have the entire picture content to appear?Ty.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
How can I choose the order? Which post get to be on the left side or the right up space?
Ordinarily, the top left image among the five featured content posts will be the most recently published post, and the others would follow in reverse-chronological order, according to the published dates and times. However, if multiple posts are published within a short period of time on the same day, the order in which they are displayed might not be the same as the order in which they were published.
When I click save, publish and view site, the featured picture appears cropped. What should I do have the entire picture content to appear?
That would be quite difficult to accomplish with this theme. First of all, the theme has set dimensions for the five featured content posts. The first one is 550 x 349 (landscape orientation), and the other four are 260 x 349 (portrait orientation). In order for the five featured content tiles to display scaled versions of your five featured images, the featured images would have to be of the same width to height ratio and the same orientation as the tiles. I’m not certain that that would be sufficient, but it would at least be necessary.
Each featured image to appear among the five featured content images is first scaled to the final width, 550 or 260 pixels, and then cropped or stretched, or both, to fit one of the two tile sizes which will be displayed.

Hi Music,
If I understand right, by changing the publishing dates of my (already published) posts, I can modify their order?
Number 1: top left post
Number 2: top right post. What is the order of the 3 bottom posts?
Thank you, -
…by changing the publishing dates of my (already published) posts, I can modify their order?
That’s correct. You can change the order of all of your posts on the posts page, not just the featured content posts, by changing the published dates.
What is the order of the 3 bottom posts?
Reverse chronological, just like the top two.

By the way, changing the published dates of posts can also modify the order of posts on all archives pages as well.
