Canard theme – using homepage grid feature in multisite

Hello, I’ve read all the posts regarding the featured content, about setting the featured content tag and the homepage settings. I’m one of those who would like the featured area grid to look like the Canard demo. Actually, when I go on the customizer, the preview looks like the demo. However, when I visualize the site, I get the posts stacked one above the other, as if it were a non-homepage blog post page. I’m using the theme for a sub-site of a multisite. Might this be at the core of the problem?
