    I’m not sure why this was set up for an automatic renewal. And it also doesn’t expire until next month. Please reverse these charges.

We’ll send you notification emails before charging your card, however we do automatically renew upgrades 30 days before their expiration date. Why? Since letting an upgrade expire may result in unwanted site changes to your site or loss of domains, we want to ensure that everything is taken care of in advance.

    I also note that this site https://wearetheminters.wordpress.com/ has no visible upgrades.

    To save you time we can try to determine relevant details such as which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about.

    How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.

    Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

  • Hi @wearetheminters, no problem; we can reverse the charges for you. Right now you’re disputing it through your bank, which ties things up a bit, but if you’ll close the dispute we can refund from our end.

    Please note as well: canceling a domain, or allowing it to expire, does not release the domain for re-use. If you need it for use at another host, let us know so we can get it restored before it goes into redemption.
