I do not want to be a member of this site. I am a Reader. How do I cancel?

I just signed up for WordPress.com with my email address and a password. I have not created a site. After seeing what this is, I have no use for it and will not use it.

@shankljj, when you read your sites, do you ever leave comments? If you want to leave comments, you might have to be logged in to an account (it helps keep spam and unwanted content down).
If you just have an account and don’t need it, there’s not really a *need* to delete your account – and it’s a tricky maneuver – if you’re okay with the account existing, there’s no need to cancel or delete it.
What is troublesome for you about being a member? Are you receiving emails that you don’t want, or logged in on a public computer? If you can share what your concern is, we can make sure that the exact problem is fixed.
If you still want to delete your account:
1. Log in.
2. Remove all personal information from “Account settings”
3. Change your password to a random string of letters and numbers. This will leave your account inactive, and you will not be able to gain access to it in the future.
With no personal information, WordPress no longer has or hosts any of your personal information.
If you want to reference the steps later, follow this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/I hope this helps!
