  What if I want to cancel sooner than automatic renewal. Do I get a refund?

  According to the refund policy, you can only get it if you cancel it within the 30 days of your purchase.

  Hi there,

  Is there a particular upgrade you are referring to (I didn’t see any under your account)?

  Refunds for domain registration need to be canceled within 48 hours. The link that @ravichahar provided is a good resource if you have not purchased upgrades yet and have questions.

  If you have purchased upgrades and wanted someone to take a look, please post in this thread under the account that purchased the upgrades, and I’d be happy to take a look.

  Hello – I haven’t convinced my non-profit to spring for a new website. So, I wanted to create one and show them how much better it is vs. what we have now. If they again nix the idea, I want to be able to cancel it. Can I do this?

  Creating a site with WordPress.com is free. So you can set up a nice site without having to upgrade to any plan. Is there a particular feature that you wanted to try that is a part of the paid plans? What plan were you looking at? http://wordpress.com/plans

  Hello There – I guess I don’t know what I will need until I create the site, but I am thinking I will end up at either the $4/month or $8/month level (we will use our non-profits domain name).

  Since you have your own domain, you’d have 30 days to cancel your plan if you didn’t want it.

  Here’s what I would do in your situation:

  – Start with a free site & add a little content. Don’t worry too much about the look yet. Even if you decide against WordPress.com, having some content and structure ready will help you whatever you decide to do in the future.

  – If you need to adjust CSS and what not or use premium themes, consider adding Premium at that point, and your 30 days will start from there.

  – Don’t use the domain credit (since you’ll be using your organization’s domain anyway). That way you won’t have anything that has to be cancelled within 48h.

  – Once you have a plan, keep in touch with support with any questions as you go along. :)
