  Also, as my colleague noted in your other thread, if you would still like to use your domain with some other service, please ask us to restore it for you first.

  If you cancel a domain that’s more than a few days old, it does not get released. It goes into a long, potentially expensive redemption process that may result in someone else buying the domain.

  So if you’d like to use it, don’t cancel the account yet. Do let us know right away that you want the domain back.
