Cancel a Domain
-
Hello,
I need to cancel a domain being mapped so it doesn’t autorenew. There is no “Cancel” option in “My Upgrades” and the forums say to contact support, but does not say how to contact support, so I am asking the public forums.Any idea?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since you don’t see a Cancel option, do you see an Enable Auto Renew option? If you see the latter then your domain mapping is already set up to not renew.
You can contact support at https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks both. Am I mad? In the link you both shared it just leads to “Finally, let the community know what’s on your mind” which links here. I can’t see a contact support form anywhere?

Write anything (like blabalabla) in the box. Then will come a chat with a “happiness engineer”.

The only box I see on that page is “Post a Question in our Public Forums”. :(
Thanks for trying.

Ok. I tagged this thread with the modlook tag for Staff assistance.
Be patient while waiting… :) -
Hi Dan,
There are no upgrades on the account you’re posting from. At this moment, the contact form is only open to user with upgrades on their account so that’s why the public forum was your only option.
There is an upgrade owned by a different user account on the site arosebetweentwothorns. You can see all the users of that site here:
https://arosebetweentwothorns.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php
I’ve sent an email to the user account that owns the upgrade, and I assume you have access to that account as well. Please reply to that email and we can discuss the details of your situation.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for responding.Yep, that user account will be me also.
I am no longer seeing anything in my WordPress dashboard except the “Warning contestes charge message”, so I can’t see what other user name that might be.Also, I don’t have access to the associated email address anymore. It is a former employer’s email address and it no longer exists.
Do you have a suggestion of what to do next?
And would it be possible to remove my customer service query from the public forum? Thanks
-
Hi Dan,
I recommend checking all your alternative emails for the one I sent to that account email. While I assume you’re controlling both accounts, I can’t really verify that without discussing it with the other user account.
If you’ll reply to that email, we can talk about everything regarding the chargeback and domain, since I know you own that account.
And would it be possible to remove my customer service query from the public forum?
According to our Forum Community Standards we delete threads when they represent a personal safety concern, or a security concern for your site or WordPress.com. There doesn’t seem to be a safety or security concern here.

Hi Alex,
That email address no longer exists. Do you have a suggestion of what to do next?
-
If you know it does not exist, then you must know the email associated with the account. Even if the email has been deleted it’s still the email on file here at WordPress.com, so you can log into the WordPress.com account with it.
Log into that WordPress.com account, then post in this thread and verify that you’re the same person. Then we can talk over your correct email address and I’ll help you change the email address on the other account too.

Thanks. I have tried that. I don’t have the password.
I thought had transferred everything I needed to my personal account for access, but turning off the reoccurring payment is not possible from my current level of access,
-
I’ve sent you an email to the address on file from where you’re posting to discuss all the options on how you can get access again to other account. Please let me know here if you do not receive it.
Otherwise, please reply there so we can discuss the account details privately.
