  I just created a site TODAY… for trial. Realize that is it for a blog NOT a site.
  I entered all credit card data as required.
  I wish to CANCEL this.

  I will get back later***

  My goal is to create a site. I will be back later with more precise info.
  LATER, I will add a blog..

  I thought it would be intuitive with some guidance.

  Did you pay for an upgrade of some sort? Are you asking how to get a refund for that upgrade?

  If you want to use WordPress.com as a website, then you can simply set your front / home / landing page to static:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
  Then make no posts, make only pages:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
  And use a custom menu to make your site show the pages in the order you want:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
